Took the bike out for 170 miles. Braking is definitely better than the stock rotor. Not as transformative as going to an 11mm master but noticeable. Not sure if there was much improvement over bumps, but the mountain roads I took were either great quality or kind of rough.

Thank you for the feedback! With great looks, less unsprung weight and =/+ braking performance, it is certainly a win!
BTW, I noticed the Ferodo shoes. I purchased the same ones from MMM when completely renewing the rear brake. Don't know if you've installed them yet, but I have found them quite slow to bed in. And if I was doing it over again, I would put a little chamfer on the edge of the leading shoe...I think it might come good much quicker.

No, this bracket and kit work fine...there is plenty of material between the holes and edges. I have the same kit, although not nicely relieved like @Chet Ironhorse 's.

The material is 0.25" thick mild steel so IMHO okay. If thinner or if aluminum, then I could see the point.

I would say the choice is not questionable, it looks great. I love the black-polished rim look and never thought about holes, but it looks very cool.
For my ongoing KZ project, I like the look so much, I sought out and restored some Lester wheels... similar look.
So when we sell a tractor
the new owners get a free horse!
And THAT opened up a spot in the shed for the lift to be more accessible/closer to the tools.
Then rearranged bikes and dragged this out from SOIR's nether-regions. Dunno just how far or what direction this is going.....
But a bit of cleaning scrubbing won't hurt it. Motor was held in by just the bottom cross mount bolt. Tires were flat. How long has it been sitting like this???

That bike looks not bad at all! Got some nice bits on it. Watching to see what it becomes.

There's few things more expensive than a free horse. Ask me how I know
Buttoned up the clutch cover, having installed new plates and springs, plus single piece alloy throw rod, and went for a ride in the winter sun.
Maybe it stiill needs a lot of bedding in - behaving better than it did before, but not a miracle cure. Hard to find the right place between slip and drag. I think I'll try a change in actuator next.
