Today I installed a new rotor I received from Jim on my 650D. The rotor looks like a work of art. I think it was like putting a 10 dollar saddle on a 5 dollar horse. Charges beautifully.

Replaced a crappy tire (2003 DOT date) that shakes like a bad washing machine for a slightly less crappy tire. I think my garden trailer has the same tread pattern.

I have thought about it some. My right knee has seen better days. They cost about 2 grand so, I will probably just find a hill to park on and bump start it.

While working in the garage and my bike outside, we got a thunder boomer and lotsa rain. The bike got a free rinse job. I brought it inside to wipe it down and found three broken spokes on the rear wheel. They were all on the chain side and not quite equally spaced on one half of the wheel.
I’m going to order spokes tonight. Should I replace them all? Any idea why they may have broken. All three broke at the sharp bend where they pass through the hub.
I usually tap them once a season to ID loose ones and snug them up. I’m pretty sure this happened this season. No bumps or potholes so is this just fatigue?

mostly rare on stock rims, spokes. I've yet to break a mikes stainless spoke.
Once ONE fails it's neighbors must shoulder the burden, so...

No sign of damage to the spokes that I could see. I did notice the edge of the spokes have been resting on the hub face - rub marks on tge spokes and slight indentation of the hub face. I’ll post pics later. Maybe this induced some abnormal stress? XS Performance aftermarket wheels. Maybe the spokes were bent ant the wrong angle for the hub/rim combo? Dunno.

Don't forget the copper washers under the screw heads of the clutch cover. The ones along the bottom of the cover

Vic, best deal I have found for spokes is xs650direct. And great for you that they are based in Canada if I recall correct. I have new sets here for sale, but you'd probably get a better deal buying direct with all the customs BS.

Thanks @willis . I did order from them today. I expect they’ll arrive early next week. Then I need to decide if I’ll try to lace the wheel myself or pay someone to do it.
If you have patience, it’s worth the effort to lace yourself. I’ve done several now and enjoy the challenge. This last time I laced my CL77 wheel and bought a cheap trueing stand from Amazon and tried and balanced myself too.
Big thanks to everybody who helped my understanding of the significance of the "clocking" of the actuator arm. Clutch back together with "artisanal" paper gasket, test ride shows huge improvement in clutch action, acceptable load at the lever, plus control over the take-up point.

I have a truing stand too. Maybe I should give it a go.. any tips? I guess I should take lots of pictures so I’ll know which way the spokes go..
