What have you done to your XS today?

Complete rewire front to back completed. Front and back turn and running lights, headlight, horn, new xs ignition with e-advance, tach, speedo, voltmeter, and FINALLY a kill switch. We'll see if blows up or not tomorrow morning. It's 10pm and I'm pooped

Polished and replaced my rear wheel, who said it was tricky? It's dead easy, got it trued up in less than half an hour afterwards.
Oh how I shouldn't have boasted, I had a sinking feeling just as I went to bed...did I line up the valve hole with the spokes correctly? I'm dreading going to look but at least I know it's not that bad of a job if I have to start again

I now realise what a stupid thought that was, the position is dictated by the rims spoke hole angles. Sigh of relief

Hope you slept ok  Yep, it'd be difficult to lace it wrong and have it go together so smoothly - of course a pic would confirm (hint):geek:

Looks good to me! A little wipe down for those fingerprints and you’ll be stylin. Those shouldered rims are not easy to polish I’m in the process of doing one right now…
Yes they certainly aren't but I've found a few solutions, fine abrasive nylon wheels in a dremel and fine grinder type nylon discs with black cutting compound before getting them on a series of buffing wheels.

Got these in the post today, genuine footrest rubbers to replace the torn ones I have.
Don't remember having them tearing on the previous xs's I've had, but they don't last long at all.
I'm going to try and extend the 20mm X 20mm square steel tube another 10mm so there is more length inside the rubber.
May even cut the tube off at the pin bracket and rotate it 45degrees so the flat surface is at the top .
I've tried searching but haven't found anything about this anywhere but interested to know if anyone has dealt with this problem.
The steel tube is 60 mm long and there is room inside the rubber for 70 mm .?

That looks like the wrong foot peg to me. I have a bunch lying around and none look like that.
