Whats your weather right now?

100 F and headed, we are promised, to a stimulating >113 F, <10 % humidity, with 20 to 30 mph wind, and "highly likely" many unquenchable fires. Our previous digs in the hills are supposed to ascend to heaven as smoke. We, however, are by a big wet river among orchards, and harvesting apricots. I shall sally out on scooter when it's warm enough... ;) Perhaps about 16:00, we'll see.

The temp has suddenly dropped to 79F, 94% humidity.
After the storm passed, my wife and I had dinner on the roof of a 10 story building overlooking the river. It was chilly up there. It’s strange to feel that way after days of seriously roasting.

@ 01:45 local it's like a cheap lay....warm, dark, quiet, and so humid it will rot flesh. Pretty soon hotter. Then maybe fist-fights among the nutslossenvolk and automobiles bangin' into one-another. Cop-o-tronic monitor says people go funny in daheads. Do stupids.

I grew up in the Houston/Galveston area and experienced plenty of hurricane/tropical storm rain. When I moved here in ‘93 the first time someone said it as raining really hard outside I had to look. Seemed like a Texas drizzle. Hardest rain I was ever in was in ‘81 going through the Panama Canal. I was the phone talker on the Focsle during sea and anchor detail and a squall came roaring in over Lake Gatun. Rain was coming down so hard it was pulling my pants down.

I’ve been waiting for over 24 hours for the 60mm downpour that’s supposed to hit us (tail end of the hurricane). So far my lawn sprinkler could do better. I’m pi$$ed about this because I stayed at home last evening and missed a great bike meet where it didn’t rain a drop and they had nothing but sunny skies. Dammed weather man🤬
