Whats your weather right now?

Hooray - weather continues mild and dry. Since one cold snap last month, there was some heavy rain, washed salt from the roads, and now we're stuck at dry & mild with 10/10's cloud for the past several days and hopefully at least a few days more to come.

I've been told people are fed up with this unseasonal weather pattern but excuse me, the roads are dry and clean and that'll do for me.

Bullet sat sitting on the bike lift, Miss November also waiting for attention, but W800, Polly Perkins to her friends, is out and about every day. Odo reading when we parked up in Galashiels t'other day was precisely 37,000.

Gotta make the most of it . . .

It's been ..dry here for a month 80's day 60's night, however my road into town was under water until after noon . Don't know how how much rain but I have two rain gauges and one was full and the other was half full. ..

Unseasonably warm for November 8th.

It's been "Lose yer jacket" weather.
Up early with a bit of chill in the air and I go out with a jacket on.
As the sun comes on and warms the late morning the jacket is removed and set aside.
When the sun starts to set and the chill begins creeping back in I'm trying to remember where I left my jacket.......

Today we have a change. It's a glorious day, bright Sun, clear sky. Much cooler than recently. This morning, out on the W800 and very pleased to note that the Cooncil has still not spread salt.

But with clear skies tonight, there is a good chance of frost, which means a good chance the gritters will be out later today.

Attached picture was taken through my kitchen window on Sunday 3rd of November. Then it started raining and getting unreasonably warm again.....
Look closely, and you can see the results of a woodpecker attacking my window frame as well.....
This is why I vow to stay south of parallel 35.

Because of the woodpeckers??? (BTW, I live just south of 70N :))
We have woodpeckers. That’s why my house is made entirely of materials uninteresting to woodpeckers. My previous home suffered some serious woodpecker damage, some of it structural. They’re amazing critters that I expect could take a house down if they had a mind to.

Why don’t woodpeckers get brain damage?

Awesome warm up today in the Baltimore/Washington area today.
Took the day off too.
Windy but sunny. Winds died down later in the day.
Although I spend much of the day working on the XS, I did ride the Bonneville out to my RC airplane field to see old friends during their Vet day celebration.
I did some exhaust repair on the BMW R1100RT then took it out 30 mins for highway ride to test it out.

It happened. Rides will be less frequent, but I'll still try to get out and about. On the W800. The alternative is borrow Mrs' car . . .
