Whats your weather right now?

8C and Dull in SW Ontario
Supposed to go to 12 tomorrow-maybe fire up the '78.

Predicted 39c today. I'll muck around in the workshop until it gets too hot & then it'll be inside & turn on the aircon.
😭 Supposed to hit the 40s - 50s with rain next coupla days. If it melts the ice off my driveway I can get out to the road. :bike:
Stay cool and remember stay hydrated. Have a happy New Year. :)

Has been wet and overcast for 6 weeks without a break and in that time 2 x typhoons passed close by and dumped serious rain but the wet season should be close to over around the end of January for another year.
Dump Truck tire wear has increased by 20% increasing the risk of running out before the next shipment arrives, but the temperature is pleasant, cool but not cold and no dust.

We got nice 85°F (30°C) here today so I grabbed my biggest bike (cruiser) and went for a ride to see a friend and go to a grand opening of a new cigar lounge two towns over. Sat out on their porch until sunset and then rode home. Gonna cool down for NYE. We're gonna be in 50s next year. Still decent riding weather with enough sweaters, underpants, wool socks etc. :)

Sweaters and underpants? We won’t see 50 until April! (Maybe)
Yeah, well, you're talking to a wimpy Texan. We break out sweaters and jackets when it starts "freezing" down here (that's below room temperature).
But we don't really mind 110F in the summer when "nordners" complain about a heatwave of 85F. :D

I’m originally from Texas so I get it. I still have family there that can’t believe I live somewhere that gets as cold as it does.

Well, new year but still the same old weather! Today is mild, predicted high 7°C that's about 44°F? Very damp. in fact pouring with rain right now. Washing the roads.

But as soon as dry weather arrives, temps will be likely to fall and the salt trucks will be oot again.

Just listened to a interesting program about the shipping forecast which is now 100 years old. For them as don't know, the BBC Radio 4 shipping forecast, broadcast twice every day on LW gives a very concise and formalised synopsis of met conditions for thirty-one named areas, covering the seas around Great Britain and the approaches, more than a million square miles. For each sea area, the forecast gives wind direction, strength, temperature, visibility and outlook.

The litany of sea area names, the formal reports, read carefully by a BBC announcer, well, it's almost like poetry and much loved by many landlubbers who in most cases probably don't know where Dogger, Fisher, German Bight or Fitzroy are and might not have any personal interest that SW winds, 4 to 5, are backing S later but nonetheless take comfort and joy from the shipping forecast. Even in these days of weather apps on phones, the service is apparently still very useful to seafarers, particularly fishermen and coastal traffic. I love it.
