previous record was set nearly 40 years ago, on March 26, 1988, the weather service said. After that, the Valley was expected to see five 100-degree days in a row.
On March 20 and 21, temperatures could rise as high as 106 degrees. That would be the earliest watermark in Phoenix history, shattering a state record last set nearly eighty years ago, on May 2, 1947, according to the water service.”
