Hi, I've just spent the last few hours going through huge amounts of knowledge regarding worm gears.

Just looking for somebody with experience to confirm if 1.4mm worm gear / push rod travel should be enough to engage the clutch?

My current issue is clutch drag!

I'm just deciding if i need to pull the right side cover off.

If 1.4mm is considered enough movement then my drag is probably related to something else as the clutch has been sitting for over a year (brand new assembly) and is prob just stuck togeather.

My slave (pictuted) has 10.3mm travel when actuated and this = 1.4mm worm gear travel.

That’s only .055” and I agree seems low. I tried looking at my old numbers and I think I had .090 - .110” of travel. That’s with a short arm worm gear and a Magura clutch lever. Even with this much plate separation I still feel my clutch drags. I improved things a bit by switching to a lighter oil. I went from 20W50 BelRay mineral oil to 15W40 Shell Rotella oil.
