i’m fitting a 2-1 intake manifold and fitting a Mikuni VM34 carb, all the manifolds on the market seem to be offset due to the single frame tube on the standard frame. I decided to make my own.The flanges are the same hole centres as the exhaust flanges so I used a pair of those. I used a 180 degree bend with a 150 mm centre and bored out the single carb mount on my Bridgeport using a vernier boring head. The mounting tube was then brazed into the bend.

Bike is coming along nicely now, I’ve had the covers etc powder coated, ignition to set up ,fill with oil, and then the exhausts. They are going to be copies of my first build. I’ve entered both bikes in a classic bike show in Brecon on the first of April,so I have a sort of deadline. I was approached by a photographer after showing the first bike in the Kickback Custom show in Gloucester last September, a bike magazine editor friend of his asked if I’d be interested in having the bike featured in his magazine. Static and riding shots and a write up.
