XS Metisse

I see a 71 Triumph twin leading shoe brake and conical hub on the black one. Bit hard to see, but the rear hub also looks like a conical hub?

I had a. 71 Triumph, polished both hubs and laced them a couple of Boranis I polished up with chrome plated spokes. By geez, best looking wheel I've ever seen. Because the hubs, particularly the rear hub, were so big and they were conical, super easy to keep polished.

The black on really does it for me. I love a black and gold bike, but I am a little biased as I currently have 3 bikes with similar color schemes. The gold touches really pairs well with the subtle undertones on the frame plating.

Reminds me of the John Player Special Lotus. One of my favorite color combinations too.

I took both Metisse’s to a local bike festival last weekend, they were both really well recieved, the black bike won an award , Best in Show (British), the grey bike according to one of the judges would have won overall best in show ,but they didn’t have a best in show class.
