Last year I entered my bike in a vintage bike show at a really neat venue downtown. The city repurposed a very large GE campus for multi-use areas. There are business offices, a brewery, and a local market retail area. The main drive through the middle is a brick street where the bike show was held. It was a great show with a great turnout.

A few weeks ago the organizer reached out to me asking if I still had the 75xs that I had in the show. He asked if I would be interested in putting my bike on display in the main market entrance to promote the upcoming show. I was honored, so today I dropped it off at the facility. It will be there for about 10 days and will be rotated out with a Norton, and then followed by a Janus, which are made nearby and also a sponsor of the show.

Turns out, I know the event organizer through mutual acquaintances in our younger years. I offered to volunteer for the event as I thought it would be a great way to become involved in the vintage bike community. Well now I am going to be a judge for the bike show. I’m not sure I’m qualified for that, but what the hell? I’m in. After talking bikes for a while he has also invited me to join a small group of scrambler rides with a few of his friends. Time to get my ass in gear on the 77 build.
