Those boxes are for a XS2 not a XS1. I am glad I checked first.

They are the wrong ones. He said they were for a 70 but they are for a 72/73. They are really close but no cigar.

The difference between the early and later boxes. The XS2 and TX650 have a larger battery box so the mounting brackets are different. See picture.

I have a set of air boxes for 70-71. But let me confirm that.
I dont have the set of mounts, they are also different from the 72-73 mounts.
Ill try to get you some pictures in a bit. They are not rusty, I painted them black many years ago.
