XS2- front brake light switch?

Hi, did the 1972 XS2 have a front brake light switch or not?- mine has not got one, thanks

It had a switch attached to the brake lever. Aftermarket MC’s don’t come with the mount.

Looks like i will have to put a Hydraulic pressure switch "inline" at the MC

You can just make it out on this photo,it's attached with the bolt you can see, only if you have the original master cylinder

This is the MC on bike- as you can see there is not room for the switch due to low H/bars

It mounts under the lever perch. I think I may have one floating around the parts bin somewhere. Think I saw it a few days ago

If that’s the stock perch there should be a small threaded hole underneath to mount the switch IIRC. The aftermarket’s don’t have it. Here’s an aftermarket with the pressure banjo switch.

I had to replace 2 hydraulic brake switches in less than 6 months. This mad me switch over to a micro switch. I have a Brembo master cylinder so it was easy to get the switch. If there’s an OEM switch available, that’s what I’d go for. Mind you, the two hydraulic switches that failed were cheap, Chinese pieces.
