Xs2 front pegs rubber

Is it me or later footpeg rubbers do not fit these big @$$es squares peg of the -72??

I just bought mine frome Mikes and they squeezed right on with minimal effort. Are you trying to get a later model square rest onto a 72` diamond shaped peg? That would be difficult.
Also ...When you get it allmost on all the way there is a little ridge on the outer end of the metal peg that you need to sqeeze in over.
