Great little retrospective. It's a contemporary synopsis of an earlier 1972 article. Does anyone know of how to get at that 1972 original?

I just had an offer on a near showroom quality XS2 accepted and I go get it in a week. I'd love to find this article on it.

That article is outstanding, thanks so much. And here I thought I was pretty up on XS model changes over the years, and this article taught me things I never knew. The needle bearing vs bushing at the wrist pin was news to me (I thought they all were bushing). And I hadn't known about the linked intakes on the XS1/1B.

The article only reinforces my belief in the XS2 as the best of the XS's. But I may not be entirely objective any more.
