XS650C front brake calliper right/left

So I ordered the caliper from the Canadian version of Mike's XS, called XS Direct. They sell the caliper for this 1976 XS650C and it it supposed to fit on the right or left fork. I just received the front brake caliper, which is clearly setup to be installed the left fork, which is not what I ordered. I ordered a calliper for the right side. While I see that the caliper itself may work on either side, the big chrome bolts (holding the caliper together?) are oriented to work only on the left, by factory. Am I supposed to crack them and reinstall them in the position to work on the right? They are I there very tight, I do not want to loosen them.....Here is a pic of the original and the new caliper. Please let me know how to solve this puzzle...Cheers, Jurgen

Yep bolts get swapped side to side.

Yes, and that turns a "left" caliper into a "right" caliper, or vice versa.

Yes, I did that after all, I was just hesitant at first. It fits now...
