IMG_2988.jpegIMG_2989.jpegIMG_2987.jpegIMG_2990.jpegIMG_2991.jpegLast year I sold my ‘77 to a 18 yo kid in Ohio that came up with his dad. He had stars in his eyes while looking at the bike and asked what it needed. At the time I told him new tires would make it road worthy as I had it running pretty decent. Yesterday he messaged me to thank me for selling him the bike as he loves it. He sent me these pics and told me about working on it over the winter…

Hey , just now saw this, that’s awesome! I think I was 20 when I bought my first XS650 ( a ‘76 model ) of course it was only a year old back then 😄 but it was my first “big street bike” and I loved it!

Good looking bike

Remember two stories about these Quick deals One for not so long time ago

Friend had One Norton late 60 ies model .. Been for sale a while good condition a bit Expensive Fine bike if not almost perfect
$ 7500 or so
Seller is well Know in the circles So the kid probably got the phone number out there from someone

Kid Called can i come around have a look at the Machine
The Friend did not believe much it would sell But not so It sold in no time No haggling no time delay
Not sure if he test drove it even .Young kid but big .So he would be able to kick it

Another one was A friend Max -- Had a Ford GXL 6 cylinder fast back Yellow with vinyl top
Cool car for a Young man back then Probably still is if one can find one not rusted away
He should sell because the Employer should arrange another car

Asking price $ 2000 if i remember. i had . $ 350 paycheck a month at the time

The kid and his father came around More or less with the intention to smash the bundle of cash on the hood drive away.
No sales pitch needed at all.
Friend said .OK Sold Its yours -- but lets do it right go up to the flat doing the paperwork So we don't get into Trouble
