The seals that come in the gasket kit works for me Athena. I use Yamaha valves my source is my motor pile.

I like authentic factory original valves, simply because I feel more confident in their quality and materials (stellite). Without a hardness tester (or solid endorsements), I wouldn't know if cheaper aftermarket alternatives omitted certain invisible metallurgy...

If not there, lots come up on eBay. I picked one up there to replace one with a badly beat up and dimpled stem in a spare head I'm re-doing, about $25.

Does anyone know the name of the, or used the services out of Portland Oregon that offers head service for the XS? I found it on ebay. He goes by the handle smw70ss on ebay. He rebuilds heads, sells and installs valves, guides and seems to do all sorts of head work.
