Just Nosing around, and trying to understand new pics I am seeing. I thought that 1970 was Candy Green Only. 1971 was Candy Gold Only and 1972 was Brilliant Red Only !!! I must have snoozed through something ! Is the Candy Orange, with Broad Black Stripes and smaller yellow and red pin stripes actually correct 1972 color scheme ? I am seeing it hare and on bikes for sale online. tks guys..

Hey, Scooterbrain. The first XS I ever saw was in a showroom, fall 1970, leftover XS1 in candy green. It left a permanent impression. So, I painted my XS1B in metallic green, using 2 pinstripes, same as the Australian XS1F color and pattern. Euro XS2's were available in that other color scheme...

No, I still need a stroke to swap hands. In fact, I think I'm having a stroke right now...

Can you swap hands without missing a stroke?

300miles on resto today it never missed a beat but wooshy swooshy it was hot out there in full gear, well by wussy northern standards anyways. 90 and humid, OK I'm a wimp. Went and looked an XS collection about 10 early bikes (no XS1) fairly good unrestored but I couldn't even convince myself I needed to make an offer on any of them. Was smart for once and did NOT take the van............
