Leaving for the Ozarks tomorrow. My bride Sharon is very good in the kitchen (I am pretty good too) but with only one to prepare food for I figure to leave some Teriyaki chicken thighs for her packed lunches or solo suppers. Bike is loaded on the trailer, tools, spares are sorted now I need to find a few pair of skivvies and I am off.
Just got done adding some ratchet anchor points to the van seat bases and some bike rack stiffening members.
The rack has welded tabs on the bottom that slide under the seat mounting bars recessed in the floor. When the ratchet straps pull the bikes and rack forward it's all locked in place. Then a rear strap on each bike keeps them from going forward, done.
That'll be much better. Why did I wait so long to do this?
