Just got home with this an hour ago. I bought it for the motor to use in my bobber. My custom frame should be here this week or next. So what I want to know is what is this worth, minus the motor. Supposedly a 2 owner bike. Guy I got it from attempted to make it street legal. Tires are supposed to be new. Anything else that needs to be known to place an honest value on it and I'll do my best to tell you. I'm clueless as to the rolling chassis value.

Looks like a stock frame, with different pegs, seat and bars. So if it has a title I'd say maybe 3-500.

If you part this out I`m a buyer on both wheels.

With a title, I'd say 3-500 also based on listings around here.

If you do decide to part it out, I'd be interested in handlebar switches, harness, battery box (if it has one), ignition switch and carbs (if they are BS38's and you are not using them).

Hell..... between that, the engine being used elsewhere and the wheels to halfmile, that's most of the bike gone right there!

Rear wheel re-laced with new spokes per guy I bought it from

Battery box appears to be intact, will likely hang on to carbs, but most everything else is up for grabs. Pipes are form a Hardley Ableson he said. I'll get deep off into it this weekend.

Bike looks to be 80/81 SII

Wheels with good dated tyres could be worth $100-130 a piece. The front rim is an aftermarket and rear rim looks to be off a 70-73 XS

35mm front forks. good chrome worth $100.

Front Brake components $30

light brackets/holders with good chrome and indicators $40.

Gauge cluster $50 in working condition.

Good tank no dents, good paint $80 with seat $140.

Titled frame $200-300.

Levers and switches all up $50 and new after market switch compare mikesXS price and go from there

Except for the wheels and titled frame the other prices could be worth more

Sorry for being a contrarian... The bike is nice from a distance, but has little to no attention to detail, and it won't pass inspection. I say $2,500 as it sits. Remove the motor, and you'll be lucky to get $1,800.
If you work at it 40 hours a week, you'll spend a couple of weeks parting it out unless you only sell the most valuable parts.
My advice would be sell it as it sits, and with the $2,500 buy an un-stuck engine for $200 and build it the way you want it.

The motor isn't stuck, the bike runs and rides.

If you part it, I'd be interested in the exhaust. Would need more pics and a price before I committed though.

By buy an unstuck motor, he just means get a basic motor from a junkyard that won't need too much to get it going.

My bad, not hip to the lingo. As for any mc junkyards around these parts, I know of none. Hell, I searched for months before this bike popped up. Maybe they are all on fb marketplace, I dont do fb so I'll never know.

W. TN. I don't know much about. I discovered the nearest mc junkyard by asking the local tire place if they did mc tires and they said no, and the only places that does them is so and so out on route such and such and it turned out to be a colossal mc junkyard, just may 10 miles away. There's a lesser one about 30 mi, away. Engines aren't hard to find, and for a lot less than some ebay prices. I guess I would call mechanics in the area to get the nearest junkyard. There definitely is a nearest one... :)

One thing to improve the looks, your shocks are stock shocks with the reflectors broken off. Take them off and turn them so that bracket is on the inside. It clears the tire, and looks good. It's even got a dressy looking hole on the other side.

DB was insinuating it was a thirty footer, but I don't think so myself.

I pulled the motor for my bobber build. Rolling chassis is for sale. If no one picks it up whole I'm parting it out.
