I really like the look of your bike even if usually, i'm not a "cafe racer" guy. Cafe style but looks a little bit stock too. I like the balance between the two styles.
thats cool. im building a 73 chop/bob and i got the thing in pieces so it always trips me out to see what they looked like close to stock. question...ive got the original controls with the decompresser lever. is the decompresser necessary? do you ever use it? also, do you have any advice about parts sources for the tx? some stuff is proving hard to find for me bigtime. thanks and really nice bike!
Well, the decompressor lever is not "necessary" unless you use your electric start; it's there to maker it easier for the starter to turn the motor. I kick mine all the time, but it does work.
I have been getting my parts from Mike's and Old Bike Barn. It's really these earlier bikes that are somewhat parts-problematic, but so far I have been doing okay with those two sources.
