Yo amigo...thanks for the comments. I believe the rake is 35 degrees and the back tire is a 200. As for the springer front end (4" over by the way if you do this rake with the forks) ...it looks great and I get a lot of comments on it, but it rides a little rougher as you could imagine. Ya feel everything on the road and you get off the bike feeling like you were just in a friggin blender. But they get more attention than the regular forks. Good luck with your build man and if you have any questions on your leaf spring seat just look up leaf spring seats or floater seats on the site and there are some cool ideas with pics.
Heya jojoe... I have a real bad back man!! but i`ll tell ya I`d endure it willingly on her...!!
Wow! you managed to get that 200 straight on the back easily? That to me looks the perfect size with that rim! what is the rim size BTW? That H/tail section looks great too, whats ur dimentions?.. way better then TC bros style as i think their bottom rails hook up too sharply. Is you engine strong..? any mods..? Im gonna use Low profile western bullhorns for my handlebars, but im liking the GB Clubman style too... Hey jst wtd ta say, your Bike is definately in My Top 5 in these pictures pages... Ride hard, be safe! Trev.
The frame was built specifically to handle the 200 on the back. Im not sure the dimensions yet but can find out for you. The engine is an 82 xs650 with the big bore kit from mikes. It has the performance cam and all the trinklets to go with it. Im trying to get her tuned properly but getting frustrated at the process. May take her in for a Dyna to get tuned right. Im thinking of switching up the bars to some straight bars to give her a meaner look. Thanks for the comments man...always feels good to get noticed for all the labour of love. Send me a pic of your beast when you start gettin her going brother. Love to see the progress.
