So, i got her looking good now to catch thise darn pinholes. I keep chasing then around that loverly crisp edge. Luckily the tank has never had fuel in it so i do the washing liquid bubble test from outside and put a bit of pressure in. Mark the bubbles, clean and teweld. Repeat. Yesterday i got no bubbles so i did a internal parrafin test.....4 leaks. Cleaned her out again and rewelded. Pressure wash and dry. Going back in for another check on monday. Wish me luck.
I did think to put Kreem or similar inside but ive heard horror stories of gummy carbs and gluey sludge in the barrels. Think ill keep on with the chasing.
