Hi my name is Alan and this is my first post, I have been a member for some time.This bike was imported to the UK from Minnesota in Febuary 2017. Since its purchase I have registerd it in the UK and had it serviced and made some cosmetic changes. almost ready for my trip to the I.O.M in may .

I have been a member for some time now and this is my first post on the web site, I purchased this imported XS650 Special II in Febuary 2017, it was imported from minnisota USA. since I purchased it it is now has its m.o.t and is taxed in the UK. I have done some cosmetic alterations which I think gives the bike a different look. I am intending to ride this bike for a trip to the I.O.M 2018.
Hi Alan, nice bike! Is that an XS500 tank/parts? Kawasaki mudguard? It certainly gives the bike another look. Looks more modern. I think the XS650 could have had that look if the production was continued for some more years.

Hi yes its the XS500 tank I just needed to move it back 1" so the petcock cleared the valve cover. I then had to cut the set pan down and get the seat re-styled to look a like a 60s seat. the rear mud guard is standered I just removed the grad bar.

Must have been a helluva job to get that seat pan cut. It worked out niceley though! I actually meant the front mudguard (fender). It resembles a Kawasaki Z650 fender or something.
