oh damn. I decided to go bagger with my xs650. I found some beat up old saddle bags. I am going for comfort and a nice ratty look. I wonder how hard it would be to adapt the seat.
I just broke down and put some cocktail shaker mufflers I had lying around on there and it fixed most of the problem. First though I pulled the carbs apart to see what size jets were in there for the mains, and they were 145. I put some 135 in there and it made the problem worse with the open...

I have an 82 heritage special, with bs34 carbs w/pods, and running some strange exhaust I made that is capped at the ends and the exhaust shoots out of the sides thru some plumbing fittings that I welded into the pipes. Anyways. I bought the jetting kit from mikes and it helped...
I replace my clutch pack and springs, and I was adjusting the clutch and the bike just started running terrible. It idles fine, but when you get on it, it starts to sputter extremely bad. Anybody got any ideas? Also, before adjusting it was running fine. Its an 82
