ok so if my bike is originally an electric start bike. what do i have to do to eliminate the electric start to go just kick start. or would that not be a smart idea...? and to leave it electric start what all parts do i need? im tryin to have the least amount wires as possible. all your help...
i am having stator issues with my 81. i know about doin the permanent magnet swap but i was wondering if it would be worth tryin to replace the stator magnets first. the magnets are 20 bucks compared to the hundred or so it would be to do a swap. if anyone has any insight on this please let me...
yeah im building my 81 special II. im puttin the tc hardtail kit on it. so i wont have a chainguard. i can widen the rear frame for it to fit if needed. just need to know if the 150 will mount onto the stock rim.
does anyone know what other size tires you can fit onto an 81 stock rear wheel? im lookin at 150/80-16. just checkin to see if they'll fit. with frame modification of course.

ok so i have an 81 xs650 special II. i am in the process of converting it into a hardtail bobber. one issue i have is its not running right now. thus with that said i have replaced the battery so i know its not that issue. i do believe its the stator... does anyone know what year stators would...
