DD looks good and a fair price. Getting ready to take a vacation soon so i am a little low on chopper money. I will hit you up when we get back. Hopefully you will still have it.
Not really because the dipstick is towards the rear while the pick up is forward of that. so even if I leveled the engine filled to full, when I let it down it then read high.
Would like to just put a side cover with the sight glass on it and use that as my oil level gauge. thought about adding a sight glass to my cover but I need some accurate measurements off of one with the glass to determine where to put it.
Guess I should have phrased that better. Actually know where that filter is. Just trying to figure out a new oil level in the bike. Sounds like I need to measure kindof like Detale recommended and get a difference front to back and add a mark that much higher on my dipstick?
My XS has started sounding gravely at the top end. Not a tapping sound really but kind of a whirring sound. Seems louder under acceleration too. She is still runnning fine but am trying to diagnose the problem. Could it just be the cam chain and valves need adjusted or should I be looking at...

garage187 I believe I...

Well I can't leave well enough alone on mine. Here is "Trouble" with her new coffin tank. May pull the tank soon and go ahead and paint it. Or I may say the hell with it and just ride. Sorry about the picture quality on these.
Well after checking things last night, I found that the girder is set in the + rake position but on the XS only gives it about +5. I did the math and drew it out on the computer this morning and it has -.5" trail. So it looks like I will be raking the neck soon. Looks like I need to add about...
Did some swapping around last night. Swapped on the Girder for the stock telescopic front end. I think the girder is a +10 but am unsure. It didn't make the XS sit as high in the nose as I thought it would. Has a little 60's-70's stance to it but it isn't too bad. Think I will leave it like it...
