My tach and speedo do the same, the tach cable is BRAND NEW. Seems they have gotten a bit better past 300 miles, so I am thinking like Sundie, more riding = less wobble. Irritating none the less! Probably check out how things look in the gauges when I pull them to do bulbs.

Thanks INXS. Am I blind or is there no turn signals in that diagram? Otherwise that is very helpful, I am tracing things now. Just not sure if the right wires are plugged into the right spots for front signals. I am colorblind, this does not help! And not knowing what color the front...

It'll take a damn long time to do serious damage. Don't get too shaken up. Plus octane ratings are different in different countries. Someone told me once that 87 in the states is like premium overseas. Not sure how much truth there is to that? Something to do with RMS vs something else, lol...

Oh, and can anyone link me to the CORRECT wiring diagram, preferably simplified for an 81? I don't know enough about the ignition system/timing etc, I think I have the electronic (transistor) ignition? I don't have anything behind either plate on the top of the motor. So I would like a wiring...

Thanks Grinder. I already have a new flasher, friend gave it to me (brand new) for free. I guess now I just need some tips on how to clean nasty connections, and more specifically if the blinkers/dash/indicators etc should all work with the motor OFF and headlight OFF but key ON. Yes? No? Some?

From what I remember, higher octane is not any more 'potent' than low octane. The octane level merely is a resistance level to detonation. Meaning if the motor is designed for it, it will run better with the proper gas. If you have an older car and start to get detonation as the miles go up...

Ok I got my new led blinkers mounted. Keep in mind I haven't traced any wiring yet and my blinkers did not work. Wiring on bike looked stock till I got to the rear blinkers.
