Thanks guys, the seat and rear were on the bike when I bought it, I'm not sure where it came from. It is fiberglass and looks factory made. The seat foam is not the best for longer rides, I'm thinking of building a two seater version so my wife can ride with sometimes. So far I put about 700...

Not yet, but I have a good plate I'm using for the "test" period.

Hello, I just picked up an 81 650 special last night, and I love it already, plan to go through the basics and ride it this summer, maybe some minor cafe mods, and on to a more serious cafe style build this winter. The po installed the current seat setup and looks like he cleaned the bike up...
