For Sale - Lots of XS parts , Florida

Need a Type C cam tensioner cover from a 74 or 75 if you have one. I don’t need the whole thing, just the screw-on cap if possible. For reference:

    Carb holders

For what it's worth, the non-barbed holders can be found cheaper. The plug on the outside of the carbs are M6-1.0. I couldn't find locally any vacuum barbs in that size, but found them cheap on eBay. Others have suggested a metric grease fitting with the check ball drilled out.

    Exhaust Give-A-Way

I feel like these would be much better than my current "reverse cone welded to the beat-up OE pipes" setup

    Tire dimension question 18"

I have a 130/80-18 Metzeler Perfect ME77 on the back of mine, with no chain guard. It works fine, but it's old and cracked, so I'm replacing it. I was surprised to find that the consensus seems to be a a 130 doesn't fit. You may be able to go by the printed spec, but as Leo mentioned, you might...

    '75 Cafe Build

Pulled the trigger on some blue dot rotors + calipers and 11mm master (I'll only be using one side). I used a template from this thread, which I played around with a bit converting into a CAD file. I also designed a gauge panel for the OEM gauges, with holes for headlight and kill switches. This...

    '75 Cafe Build

Well, I got her mostly buttoned up, and have ridden her around the block a couple times as I worked out some kinks. The carbs definitely need to be tuned, and the electrics box redone. I picked up a smaller ignition switch, so I can further reduce the visual mass around the seat. I sold the...

    front brake hose

Be sure to measure with your forks extended. I have tracker bars and 1" drop, and I measured ~29" for a new line, routing toward the center of the lower triple as shown by 5twins above. There's a company out of Canada selling custom length stainless hose for ~$35 with your choice of fitting...

    For Sale - Standard Seat

Selling a Standard seat off my '75. It's in great shape, with just a small rip at the front bottom of the vinyl. Underside has surface rust, but it doesn't affect fit/function. No pins for the hinges. Document holder is in excellent shape. $125 OBO shipped.

For Sale - Izumi 520x104 O-Ring Chain (Phoenix, AZ)

I bought a 104-link Izumi 520 o-ring chain from Mikes, and didn't even realize until I pulled it out of the box that it wasn't a 530. New in open box, uninstalled for obvious reasons. 104 links are stock for XS with 17/34 tooth sprockets. Link to the chain at Mikes. $75 obo shipped.

    '75 Cafe Build

Got the tail light fitted, though I'm going to redo it by bolting directly to the seat. I also broke down and bought a Sparx capacitor in lieu of soldering up my own. Prior to installing, I took my capacitance tester to it... and found that it's only a 4500 uF cap. That's appalling, but I'm...

    '75 Cafe Build

The build has been coming slowly in the new year. I've mainly been cleaning up the frame. Cut the rear fender bracketry off, fabbed up tabs for the turn signals. I have an LED tail/brake on the way, inspired by this CB750 build. Luckily it is free, since my dad works in the trucking industry. I...

For Sale - Clip-ons, plus a bunch of OEM Parts from my '75 (Phoenix, AZ)

I got a bunch of parts when I bought my '75, and really have no use for any of them. Most are in acceptable shape - see album linked below - and I can take more photos as necessary. Make an offer. Notable stuff includes: 7/8" chrome clip-on handlebars; ID is 34.5mm fully clamped, but looks like...
