    Brake Fluid

Ok, so my my master cylinder is a GMA and the manufacturer recommends Dot 5 brake fluid. Now, to make this build economical, I would like to use the stock 1980 brake caliper. Will this set-up work using DOT 5 fluid?

    Brake Fluid

Yeah, using a DNA master cylinder...I will go with DOT 3. Thanks for all the help.

    Brake Fluid

For a 1980 with stock front disc brake, the owners manual recommends using SAE J1703B brake fluid. Is this equivalent to DOT 3 or 5? Thanks for the help.

    Leaking Gas Tank

Did some research on the Yellow tape and most of the manufactures state that the yellow tape is intended for natural gas...not sure if there is vast chemical difference between the two.

    Leaking Gas Tank

Ok, new tank that is leaking from the crossover holes underneath the tank. I used 1/4" NPT plugs wrapped with white teflon tape. Unfortunately, the teflon tape is dissolving and causing the gasoline to leak from the threads... Any ideas on a better performing and non-leaking thread sealant...

Mounting my new Frisco "STR" Tank from Pandemonium Choppers

I bought the bike from a guy who completed about 75% of the work on the bike, to include powder coating the frame. Now I am just trying to get the bike in working order at this point. As a result, I have decided to go with Hugh's 1/2" tank bung kit. Hopefully, some good welding techniques...

Mounting my new Frisco "STR" Tank from Pandemonium Choppers

Thanks for the help...I will go with that option of welding the bungs in the backbone. However, I am still concerned about the welding creating bubbling in the powder coating. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Mounting my new Frisco "STR" Tank from Pandemonium Choppers

So, I bought a new Frisco STR tank from Pandemonium Choppers and looking for different ideas for mounting the tank. First, I was thinking about drilling and tapping into the backbone, but I am concerned about the thickness of the backbone and its ability to withstand vibrations of the bike...
