I have spark, both plugs spark at same time when I kick over!

I have yet another question on how to set timing(I look at Yamaha TX500 service manual)! I don't see any marks on this and it says remove hex plug? on left side to turn engine to align marks!

Just trying to get at the cylinders to inspect the rings! I have a online TX500 service manual that says you have to break chain with special(blah) tool!

I have a 1976 Yamaha XS500 that has low compression 90 each cylinder and would like to rebuild and valve job, So how do I REMOVE this cam chain???? I have found ZEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERO information on how this is done on this goofy engine!

Well, I should have did this BEFORE I bought, So I took spark plugs out, held throttle wide open and got 65PSI in each cylinder! Lots of nice parts on this bike so it's going up for sale! Thanks!

There WERE leads going to the fuse box pic 004, #2, they were broken off and somebody wired some other fuse holder with fuse in it! The fuse box should look like the one on right pic there! This is points ignition, I have feeler gauge but I don't have the specs on gap yet! Thank you!

I have a 1976 XS500 that I can't get to spark, I put new battery and new plugs! This fuse box(left pic) is confusing that is in it, so I bought a used one out of salvage yard(right picture)! Does this have to be hooked up with all fuses good for this to get spark? I can't find any info on this...

Does a 1973 Yamaha XS650 have a magneto? In other words can this be RUN WITHOUT a battery? Thanks!
