Looks good! Yeah, I think I'll do individual waterproof inline blade fuseblocks and maybe use the original fuse block case to store them all in, looks like I can pickup 4 inline mounts for $10ish dollars..

Thanks for the info, Retired! I do have the glass fuses, what did you do to swap them out?
I need to double check my rotor resistance, I'll do that for sure when I go to clean and check the gaps on my regulator..

Awesome, I started doing a bunch of research after you said that and found out that I definitely do have the mechanical bastard!
I think I am going to do the switch over, it doesn't look too tough to wire up one of those old Jeep/Chrysler regulators.

I've got (surprise!) charging issues with my 650. When I rev up to 3000-4000 RPM I go from the starting 12.5 up to 12.8-12.9 at the most.
I've gone through the charging guide from Curly and the slap test seems pretty strong so I feel like I potentially have some regulator or...

I'm going to double check the brushes, I maybe will just order some new ones unless they look brand new already.
I synced the carbs, and I knew about the mikes springs being weak so I wound up clipping one loop off of each and it opens all the way at 3000 like it...

I picked up my first XS a couple months back and have been working like crazy to get it up and running before the snow falls here in Minnesota! I've been lurking for a while now doing a metric ton of research on this forum while I work on the bike. I got it non-running but...
