Ok, went total loss
now no matter what I do I only get spark/fire on one side. I plug in one side of the points and get spark no matter which way I plug in one side I get spark, but plug both in and only one will get spark/fire.
Decided to go total loss.
I get fire on one side only checked all wires switched to see where I was getting spark in the points. if I plug in one to the condenser I will get fire on one side whichever one I plug in then when I plug in both I only get on one side. What on earth am I doing wrong?

yeah we have discussed that (my uncle that has helped me with this build). I was thinking the no battery option would be easier. If I can use the small battery make for an easy switch TLI might be the way to go.
