    Getting close

On that note, does anyone have a template for drilling a rotor and how tough is it? I sent the seat to get painted yesterday and should have it tomorrow. Last part came in for the fuel valves to get rebuilt, so,hopefully it should be rideable tomorrow and I will take some better photos...

It is a drag, front brake that is.

Well the outside piston was stuck. Had a heck of a time getting it out. Inboard piston would move when air was applied. Finall put it back on the bike and bled brakes and used hydrolic pressure to get the stuck one to move. Cleaned then up and now everything great. I think we are back on...

It is a drag, front brake that is.

It is a 1975 year. I did not see any shims that went between pads and pistons. No new pads. It rolled fine prior to putting fork seals in

It is a drag, front brake that is.

Put the front tire back on and it was very hard to get the pads onto, the rotor. Major drag now. Sure a dumb way to have a stud on the caliper that requires you to put the caliper on the fork leg before before you mount the wheel. I note some arrows on the back of the pads and wonder if I got...

    First attempt at buffing

Got the new tire mounted and the back end sorta put back together. Looks pretty shinny, looking for a alloy brake stay to replace the steel one. now to move on to the front end. Will polish motor last, but it runs with new floats and a a general tune. Trying to figure pipes out. Leaning...

    First attempt at buffing

Yes, the spokes are a issue. I have a dremil and the small buffing wheels. I have done each spoke and have started on the inside of the rims where the spoke attach. The outside of the wheel will be easy. I have a 3/4 horse now. Need more power! I do need to get another stitched wheel for the...

    First attempt at buffing

Used the black. I figured the smoother you start with the better it would turn out and less buffing and more beer drinking I could do!

    First attempt at buffing

First attempt at buffing and bike build photos Tried out my harbor frieght buffer today on the brake backing plate. Cut off the mount for the brake shoe warning light and then buffed. I think it is not bad for first attempt. Hard work, but mindless. Used a cut off wheel for the bracket. A...
