    TCI exposure to elements

The TCI looks like it was soldered by an underpaid, child in Cambodia, hell the plastic box its in is unnecessarily massive compared to the board. The traces on the board look very thin and fragile with porosity, not sure how that wouldn't qualify as garbage. Points are cheap, readily...

    TCI exposure to elements

Would be a great consideration if it wasn't a spring seat that was constantly flexing. Yes, I did pop it, after posting this and realized it was a huge POS. I might be better off going with points otherwise there isn't much protection. I am thinking of using a potting compound that should...

    TCI exposure to elements

I am trying to relocate my TCI box, bike has been heavily modified, but where I want to place it will be completely exposed to the weather. The box's look pretty cheap and I am afraid if it's not protected it will get fried if it is exposed to rain!

Yet another wiring / NAPA regulator question!

Hum, so do you know if the regulator shunts to ground? I am confused. The hot wire going to the regulator, unless I am even more confused than I thought, comes from a inline fuse keyed power. So It makes a complete curcuit with the regulator controlling ground? Posted via Mobile

Yet another wiring / NAPA regulator question!

Yes, the brushes. Not the green wire coming from the regulator to the brushes but the other brush wire, mine happens to be black. I did see different years had different colors. I am assuming it was due to the later models have solid state reg/rec. I added a pic of the diagram and am pointing...

Yet another wiring / NAPA regulator question!

So I picked up a 1972 XS-2 basket case for less than a hand full of green backs. I have it built and am just finishing up the wiring. I am using the radio shack rectifier / NAPA regulator and I am stumped. I have poured over diagram after diagram and can't find this one little answer. Where...
