I owned a 1977D model about 10 years ago, I also had an XS2, the 77 was the bike that handled the best, loved that bike!! Good luck on your quest, if you find 2 of them, let me know about the other one. :)

I have a set of original mufflers from a XS500 (1976) In the past I owned a 1977 xs650, They look like the exact same mufflers to me and they fit either model, my question is are they the same style and fit mufflers? The header pipes are different, that I see.
