I am looking for an early XS1 oil cover, the type with the mounting holes at approx 5 o'clock and 11 o'clock (rather than approx 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock as on the later bikes).

Thanks for all the advice. If anyone is interested, I had got cold feet and had the cracks welded, then dressed the welds back to ensure piston/crankcase clearance was retained. £20 well spent I think. Bottom end is now built and hopefully I'll get the top end back on soon, re-ringed, new...
Hi, Continuing the rebuild on my 1970 XS1 in cold and wet England, and discovered that the middle ring in my NOS box (1st oversize, .25 over and carrying the right part number 256-11610-10) is the wrong profile and also 1.2mm thick. Should be 1.5mm and have a step on it. All the other rings...
