Yamaha XS650 clutch housing, clutch boss, removal and replacement (video)

Hey, great video! It helped me sort out the order of all the washers. From your clip, I drew this up (easier to work off the paper in the garage) Thanx Again! :)

    What does it mean???

Well, now I find compression is @ 105psi on each side with TWO. At least there equal, right? What could make pressure so low yet do it to both sides equally? Perhaps I set valves incorrectly? Specs are .004 on intake and .006 on exhaust according to my docs. CRAP - I need to hold the...

    Routing the fuel line

Guys: thanks thats what figured, just wanted to verify. I recently had other issues that I thought I had resolved. was runnin great for about 2 days. decided to change the fuel filters because the ones I had (the squared ones from MikesXS) started to leak after about a year. Seems like the...

    Routing the fuel line

It seems the direction does not matter. Although, the one in that pic seems it may be made of cork? The ones I have are not, they are of tiny brass beads. Perhaps they are just not flowing enough fuel? Not home right now, but will try without filters to verify later.

    Routing the fuel line

Quick question, I have in line fuel filters that look just like the ones PUMPS pictured above, except they are 0* (straight through). They are not labeled in any way as far as flow direction goes. Does it matter which way the fuel flows?

    What does it mean???

prob gears, may have been a little rachety sounding. not really a clank or a breaking point though. just decided not to start the bike anymore. all you hear is the whining of an electric motor.

    What does it mean???

Well now, It turns out it was that my points gap had slipped (opened up). So in reality I had fixed the problem last night. However while doing so I tightend the cam chain too much to the point where I couldn't start the bike. Now it fires right up - 1 kick - every time! Now that it is...

    What does it mean???

yes to inline fuel filters yesturday I reset the points using test light cranking by turning alternater "F" marks are spot on I have spark, guess I'm not sure how "good" it is yes still running points and condenser connections all good - do not have spare condenser spose it wont hurt to...

    What does it mean???

well after fully recharging battery (only low from all my testing) each plug cap measures about 12.5 - 12.6V on there on cycle (depending on which points are in contact). so I guess I'm back to fuel. I'll try some carb cleaner (of course I didn't have any) and see if she fires. Then I suppose...

    What does it mean???

ok, key on... battery @ 12.74V, left coil: orange=9.83V, red w/ white stripe=10V, right coil: grey=.246V, red w/ white stripe=9.8V, left plug cap=10.03V, right plug cap=.236V. ...but if I rotate the engine, this should flip - correct? based on which points are open and closed. I...
