My husband recently finished building two xs650s. One for himself (the green one) and the yellow one belongs to a friend. Just thought I'd share some pics on here. He is super creative and it shows in these bikes. Enjoy!

Great details, It would be nice if you backed up and took a couple of "whole bike" shots
We LIKE eye candy..

Here are full view shots. Thought they were on here, but looks like they were too big. thanks for the nice words. I will pass them along to the hubby.

Are ya kidin me here??? These bikes make mine look like Jed Clampet built them.
GREAT job,and keep the pics coming of any new projects.

It's rare that we see that kind of attention to detail! Beautiful! Those bikes are art, right down to individual components that could stand on their own as objects of interest! Amazing! :)

Lovin the springer on the green one.
Where are y'all in Kansas? I make it back to the Leavenworth area once a year to visit family, usually swing through Pittsburgh to visit my brother too. Would love to take a look at some of your builds the next time i'm through.

I have been running into him at various events around and he is quite an artisan. I like his details. We spoke a bit at Ralph Waynes last Saturday.

We are in the KC area.

Are these just amazing works of art, or are they rideable on a daily basis.
I notice no front brakes and the rear is often suicide shift lever style and so is the gear shift. How do you steer if you change down gears while breaking??

Craftsmanship looks superb and don't know how he finds the time to source all the rare little parts that get fabricated into the bike.

Yes--the bikes are all rideable on a daily basis. 2 of the three bikes have the clutch on the handlebar. The copper bike, with the antique fire extinguisher as the gas tank, has a suicide shifter on the left side with the clutch lever attached. He says that 0 to 5 mph is spookiest on this bike as he only has one hand on the accelerator side of the bars. Beyond that shifting and steering is no big deal.

As far as finding time for the fabrication....HE NEVER SLEEPS!! Works days as a graphic designer and then works at home in the garage the rest of the evening.

I am attempting to insert a link to a you tube video of him and his buddies riding.

Enjoy!

And it requires extraordinary support from his wife and kids . We are very proud of his hard work and determination along with the support that is provided form his other half

Thanks, I was wondering what "totally fucking different without looking retarded" looked like.

It's hard to rethink an xs650, but you, or your husband, or whoever is building these has done so.

Edit: I'm sorry .... F'You. I thought of the fire extinguisher/gas tank first.

sorry. I posted, then looked back and saw that. Been knocking that around for a while.

Guess I better move on.

I really dig Ryan's bike. Something bout that flat black and yellow. And that pen striping gives it that, BANG!, kick. I'm glad he went the way he did on the tank. Keep up the good work, bro.
