Hi guys
I'm currently putting my build together (based on a 1979 Special) and need to put a new exhaust system on the bike.
Whilst there are lots of suppliers, and lots of options, I've narrowed it down to either a 2 into 2 (similar to stock with better pipes and mufflers) or a 2 into 1.
My problem is that the text for each of the systems available always says, "looks great, sounds great" etc.

To be honest I'd rather make my own mind up about what sounds good, so was wondering if anyone had a video of their bike with a good 2 into 2 or a good 2 into 1 system.
I've trolled through you tube and am no nearer an answer.

Many thanks

I tried that Samuraiace, he advised that he was busy for the next month with orders, so might be able to speak to me after that.
At this stage I'm just after videos of different pipes and combinations, that way at least I can go to a Gordon Scott or someone else and tell them exactly what I am after

I went with Gary Hoos Racing I am building a 750 so I went with the 1.75" very nice, I am going to get mufflers from coneeing here soon.

I also run Hoos exhaust with Shell type mufflers on my 750. Just a side note Donny, your bike looks KILLER!

Check out this link with several different exhaust styles: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=vb.167857709892459&type=2

Generally if you want a "tight" sound, go for a smaller diameter header and smaller outlet mufflers. These will also give you good street performance with lots of torque.

The larger diameter "miler" style pipes give great top end horsepower but will usually sacrifice torque and bottom end along with a narrower, higher power band. They will usually be louder and can be a little lispy or whooshy at low RPM.
