Why didn't I get gas back there, next interchange is 40 miles!
I should have put the inner liner in my jacket.
Why are those riders on the other side of the Interstate waving at me?
Look at that burgundy Cadillac Northstar Eldorado, what a beauty!
Is it better to put up with the dirty air behind the semi, only to ride past it and get stuck in a cross wind or a head wind.
What a great day for a ride!
Those stainless tankers leave a nice vacuum point well back from the rear and in good view of the driver's mirrors, but don't be tempted - even better quiet air I found was way back from the end of B train, two 40 footers, usually UPS, you could roll back the throttle and get sucked along all in view of one of the mirrors.
Marked cruisers are for traffic safety, ghost cars with radar are tax collectors that cause folks to jump on the binders at the worst times.
I cannot remember the last time I was in a motel room that had light bulbs bright enough to read a map. Is this energy saving really cost effective if I turn on all the lights in the unit so I can see?
Why did I leave the inner liner in my jacket?
Look at the flat bed with the 60 Olds 4 door hard top and the 53 Chev Pick up on the bumper lift. I prefer the half ton, the Olds is a more singular taste.
Here in southern Ontario, most Harley riders will not wave at metric riders, many metric riders will wave, though. Down on those twisty NC roads, the Harley riders were waving at everyone, even in the corners! No way I was taking my hands off the bars to wave back, not that I wave much in the flat land anyway.
Are they such superior riders with great machines that they can set the bike up in the corner and then just supervise? My hat's off to them!
Two days from Stecoah back to Toronto, one short day on account of rain near Summersville, really liked the section of I-79 after the Summersville short cut and the rest went well. I missed the heavy rains of Wednesday and Thursday so all is good. As usual, the only bad traffic was back in Canada from Niagara Falls all the way back to within a few miles of home. I passed through Pittsburgh in mid afternoon in about 15 minutes even with construction! What is it about Cndn roads and drivers?
Anyway, really liked my visit to America, people I met, the roads ridden, but I missed out on getting real BBQ this trip.
