I've never been a fan of heavy metal but that track is stunning.
Singer Ian Gillian was the essence of Deep Purple, in my opinion. What a voice.
"Lazy" was an Rn'B tune they did. This one from 1970 takes 5 minutes to kick up, but its worth the long intro:


and Gillian is still active. He sang with the late Luciano Pavarotti, and in 2014 did this orchestral version of the 70's classic "Perfect Strangers":
