Does anyomne have a lead or good design for a spool or swingarm stand
that will fit under low swing dual exhaust (Norton Commando style)
but still fit in between the exhaust and swingarm on both side.
My bike has spools on the rear suspension lower attachment points.
Would be nice to use them (custom made from previous owner) nit could also
use traditional swingarm pads if I could find a stand that could fit under the twin exhausts.

I`ve ran into this problem a couple of times. The lower shock mount is too high for most stands and even though they allow for side adjustment the stand itself is too wide. I`ve been welding the spool bracket on the bottom of the swing arm and this works out very well although I don`t use low exhaust`s. I`m not sure about the geometry of this but it would seem that a stand with longer arms would require a longer point of lift. ??

Halfmile, thanks for your email. You have a beautiful bike there.
At this point I just want something that will raise the tires off and stabilize the bike when I am doing more aggressive movements with the bike and keep the rubber off the garage floor in our long winters up here in Canada. Yah, the low swept exhaust are the problem.
I am thinking of maybe modifying a front triple tree stand as they should be significantly less wide and maybe I can jimmy up a way to lift the swingarm and not necessarily the spools on the rear suspension mounts. I have yet to measure the front end stands
I have for my other bikes but will try that. Of course if I had a welder and the skills to use one, this problem could be resolved quote simply.

Sadly none of these will work as the low slung exhaust do not permit the stand types to work.
Also, Harbor Freight shipping costs to Canada are expensive. But thanks anyway!
