Cruzin Image and/or Sumo Rubber experience?

Haven't bought from CI, but I've looked at their site a few times and noticed some errors. Example: carb boots for BS34 which should be listed for 1980-83 are listed for 1978-83. The Yamaha number is listed for each part, so it's easy enough for the buyer who does his homework to keep things straight.

Many sellers seem to make that same mistake, listing BS34 manifolds as correct for models back to '78. I think the reason may be because Yamaha's parts diagrams are wrong. They show BS34 carbs on the '78 and '79 Specials which we all know isn't true.

I've just purchased a set of these pistons and need to know what piston to bore clearance was used, because the rebore man said the standard Yamaha tolerances sounded tight for cast pistons.

I've rebuilt 2 top ends with Cruzinimage piston. Used factory specs for bore sizing on both. No problems. Break the engine in correctly.
Edit . Had the cylinders sized for 0.002 in clearance.

Eugene, just to support what Jim wrote, the factory clearance spec is for OE pistons, which are cast. No insult to your rebore guy intended (it's happened to me often enough!), but I think your rebore guy was experiencing a brain bubble and got things turned around: forged pistons require wider clearance than cast.

Same here on Cruzin. Rebuilt two motors with their pistons one being two over, the other I can't remember but it may have been four over. About 3,500 miles on one, and 800 miles on the other. Both run strong. No complaints.

That settles it then.
Thank you every one, the wealth of knowledge and help as always has been brilliant.

Update.
Just had a message from the man at Cruzin Image:-
Thank you for your message. regarding clearance.
I asked my supplier about clearance.the clearance is 0.035-0.045mm

Less than standard.

If you go with the tighter spec let us know how it works out.

Just spoke to boring shop and weve agreed the Yamaha standard spec is probably best, especially with all the feedback from people here.
He said he would've gone slightly overspec anyway so tighter spec plus a whisker is about standard :).
