hi! i am a new member long time lurker. i have been working on a xs project and am about to make some final purchases to finish project. is 650motorcycles.com parts store safe, it bothers me there is no contact info. both 650 cental and mikes xs are out of cams and that is part of my purchase along with a big bore kit. thanks in advance for your help in advance, any advice is welcome

might not be of too much help, but I bought a t-shirt from there and it went smoothly.....

I bought carbs and pipes through 650motorcycles.com. It was a disaster. Took over 6 months of hounding, and finding the owners' other internet businesses to contact them through for me to finally get my parts.

Now from what I understand Bertaut SR. was a great xs race tuner back in the day and that's where this business came from. Bertaut JR. is who took over and I bought my parts from. He has a shitload of internet companies from fishing gear to rocking chairs. was not a happy customer. I used to be on their forum, but it has died almost altogether.
Supposedly a new owner has taken over, but after all the lies and email address changes that Bertaut pulled while I was dealing with him - I'm not convinced it isn't still him.

Maybe I don't know all of the details ( I did hear he had some health issues ), but if people thing MikesXS is hard to deal with, wait till they give their money to the other site.
Maybe someone else had a better experience than me??????

Those aren't the only sources for camshafts; check out www.hoosracing.com (great folks to deal with!) and www.megacyclecams.com . The new Megacycle 250-20 grind looks really good. Web cams are available elsewhere as well.

Unless things have changed, they liked taking peoples money and not posting the parts, took me about 3-4 months to get my parts and there was a number you could call them on then, if there wasn't like now I'm convinced I would not have seen the parts.
