I'm looking to see if I can get some sort of triple clamp that will accept 36mm forks. I'm not worried about machining or welding, easy stuff. However I've stumbled across a thread indicating the XS750 triple clamp might be a direct swap into my XS2. Anyone have the details on this?

XS750 Triple Clamp in XS2 Steering Head?

The xs750 models had two styles of front triples and their corresponding forks.
The Standard style which is like our xs650's and then the leading axle style found on their Specials.
I ran a Standard '77 xs750 front end on my old '83 but it did involve swapping the neck of the 650 into the 750 triple and then beefing the triples base bearing seat up a few mills to match the 650's base.
The question has been asked in the past if the early 650's stem are the same length as the Standard 750's.
