Clean and oil air filters?

It does not have to be K&N oil.
K&N pleated cotton weave filter mesh may benefit from the K&N oil.
UNI Pod foam filters need some oil as well. I have used motor oil for years now. Applied with oily hands until it seems just right

I have a couple of cans of aerosol K&N oil. Having used them in my work vans over the years. Is that as good or better than motor oil? I don't have the K&N's anymore, but I still have the oil!It does not have to be K&N oil.
