Doing a Honda front end conversion with XS650 triple trees. I would like to know the length of the steering head in inches. The tube in the frame the triple tree stem passes through.

This is later 74-83 headstock 188.7mm =7.429" or 7 7/16"

I deviated went with Ducati's Triumphs, Moto Guzzi's. That's my last ride. All too perfect. Put every CF part available all the upgrades and realized I like wrenching more than riding.. Florida riding is dullsville. I now have a '75 Honda XL250 making a scrambler. Only way I could get rid of the 23" front wheel was to install XS650- forks. Then I discovered the trees were too narrow, so bought XS650 triple trees. Haven't arrived yet. Hoping the stem will work on the steering head. Readon for my questions.
